Welcome to Horsham Lake Dog Paddocks – the secure, lakeside space where your dogs can run, play, and explore safely. By booking with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions, designed to keep our paddocks safe, enjoyable, and well-maintained for everyone.

Horsham Lake Dog Paddocks is located at Horsham Lake, The Lodge, Horsham Lane, Upchurch, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME9 7AL.

Critical Notices

Navigation Warning:

Google Maps postcodes may be inaccurate. Detailed directions will be emailed upon booking confirmation.

Zero Tolerance Policy:

We strictly enforce all rules. Immediate bans apply for breaches without refund.

Booking & Payments

-Bookings made online only via our website

-Bookings are not transferable without prior approval.

-No refunds for no-shows/late arrivals

-Cancellations: 24hr notice required for refund/alternative slot

-We reserve the right to cancel or refuse bookings (refund or reschedule will be offered).

Cancellations & Refunds
-Cancellations made with 24 hours’ notice may be refunded or rescheduled.

-No refunds for late cancellations, no-shows, or late arrivals.

-Bookings remain provisional until full payment is received.

Session Protocol Strict Timing:

-Each booking gives you 50 minutes of exclusive paddock use, plus a 10-minute buffer for safe entry/exit.
-Do not arrive early or leave late. Wait in the car park until the previous user has vacated.

-Arrive/leave promptly. No time extensions

-Last booking 60 mins before closing (typically 20:00 is the last booking in view of exiting farm by 21:00 – British summer time)

Facilities Provided 🐾 Secure, fully-fenced paddocks (3 acres & 2 acres). 🐾 Enrichment equipment including tyres, jumps, and logs. 🐾 Toys provided for dogs to enjoy. 🐾 Seating for humans and natural/shelter coverage. 🐾 Dog waste bins and bags provided. 🐾 Toilet facilities on site. 🐾 Fresh water available (please turn taps off after use). Our paddocks are ideal for:

-Training in a distraction-free environment.

-Dogs who need space away from others.

-Safe, private exercise and play.

Field Rules

-Dogs must remain on lead in the car park and until safely inside the paddock.

-Ensure gates are closed and secured immediately after entry/exit.

-Do not enter until the previous user has exited.

-All dogs must be supervised.

-No professional/commercial use without prior consent.

-Strictly no chasing/harassing livestock.

-Maximum 6 dogs per booking unless agreed.

-Smoking, fires, and BBQs are not permitted.

-No alterations to land or equipment.


Health & Vaccinations
-
All dogs must have completed their first vaccinations.

-Current vaccinations and worming are strongly advised.

-Do not bring unwell dogs (especially kennel cough symptoms).

-Aggressive or unsuitable dogs may result in cancellation of booking without refund.

XL Bully/BSL Breeds

In line with DEFRA regulations:

-Valid Registration/Exemption Certificate required.

-Proof of neutering & microchipping required.

-Third-party liability insurance required.

-1:1 handling ratio.

-Must be muzzled and leashed when entering/exiting.

-Muzzle may only be removed once gates are closed and secure.

XL Bully Dogs

We welcome XL Bully dogs at our paddocks, provided they meet the legal requirements.

In line with our insurance (Pet Business Insurance), all XL Bully dogs must be registered with the Index of Exempted Dogs (IED) and their owners must:

-Provide proof of exemption (IED certificate).

-Ensure their dog is neutered, microchipped, kept on a lead and muzzled at all times outside of the secure paddock.

-Follow a strict 1:1 handler ratio (one dog per responsible adult). These steps are essential for us to comply with the law and our insurance, and to ensure the safety of all visitors.

Safety & Security:
-CCTV is in operation.

-We reserve the right to ban users who break rules.

-Check fencing/gates before letting dogs off-lead.

-Report concerns immediately.

-Dogs use the paddocks at their owner’s risk — wildlife and rural hazards may be present.

Cleanliness:

-Owners must clean up after dogs. Bins and bags provided.

-Remove all litter, broken toys, and belongings.

-Leave the paddock as you would like to find it.

Access & Control
-
Entry/Exit:

-Dogs must be on lead in car park

-Secure all gates immediately after entry/exit

-Wait until previous users have completely exited

Liability Disclaimer

-Users accept all inherent risks of rural environment

Horsham Lake Dog Paddocks not liable for:

-Injuries or accidents to dogs, owners, or visitors.

-Loss or damage to property.

-Injuries/damage from hazards or rule violations

-Dog escapes (despite secure fencing)

-Interactions with wildlife

-Owners remain responsible for their dogs, children, and belongings at all times.
